Public Meetings such as the Community Forum enables conversations between local decision makers and local people, providing a feedback channel in both directions on issues relating to health services, in particular where these affect local communities.
The forum also tests ideas for engagement and is a place to evaluate the effectiveness of our engagement and communications activity to date. It provides a space for networking and sharing across organisations who work within and represent local people.
The Community Forum is open to anyone but formal invitations are also sent out to local Healthwatch, staff from local provider organisations, local voluntary sector organisations, faith and community groups, ensuring we include young people and children, local authority staff and Patient Participation Groups/Area Patient Group.
